Simple present tense digunakan untuk menggambarkan atau mendeskripsikan aktifitas kebiasaan atau yang dilakukan secara berulang-ulang dan present simple tense mempunyai rumus dasar yang sangat sederhana yaitu ( Subject + Verb1 / Verb1 s/es ) sedangkan present continuous tense yaitu tense yang menyatakan kejadian atau aktifitas yang saat ini sedang terjadi atau sedang dalam proses pada masa kini dan mempunyai karakter khusus yaitu pola (Subject + is/am/are + Verb ing).
